How to Add Instagram to Your Squarespace Site in a Snap (or a Click)
/If you are like me, instagram is an essential part of your business plan. It's the primary social media platform that we use for Belong. This is why we felt it was so necessary to have the feed on our website as well. And once I figured it out, it was so easy to do.
If you do not have your Instagram feed on your Squarespace website, here's how to do it in less than a minute.
Before you try to add it, be sure that you've connected the account. Go to Settings > Connected Accounts and be sure that the instagram account you wish to feature is on the list. If not, add it.
To Add Your Instagram Feed to Your Home Page /
1. On your dashboard, go to pages and then choose your home page.
2. Click "edit" (upper right hand corner of the main body of the page).
3. Scroll to the place on the page that you want your instagram feed to appear.
4. Click on the sideways teardrop icon to add a block to get the pop-up window of options.
5. Scroll all the way down (keep going...) to the bottom until you see the instagram icon and click on it.
6. A box will appear and you will be able to select the account and format the block (spacing, grid/carousel/etc..)
7. Be sure that you check the box that you want the images opened in a new link when clicked.
8. Click "apply" and then be sure to "save."
To Add Your Instagram Feed to a Blog Post /
1. Open the blog post you wish to add your feed to.
2. Click "edit."
3. Scroll to the place in the post that you want your instagram feed to appear.
4. Click on the sideways teardrop icon to add a block to get the pop-up window of options.
5. Scroll all the way down (keep going...) to the bottom until you see the instagram icon and click on it.
6. A box will appear and you will be able to select the instagram account and format the block (spacing, grid/carousel/etc..)
7. Be sure that you check the box that you want the images opened in a new link when clicked.
8. Click "apply" and then be sure to "save."
