Meet Emily Kennedy, creator of Kennedy Occasions. Emily is an event planner and floral designer, passionate about making weddings a beautiful day that showcases each individual couple. You can easily see Emily’s passion behind every event and wedding that she organizes and how much she cares for the smallest details. Emily contributed to Belong ISSUE 03 in the "Pretty Party Projects" feature. We’d love for you to get to know her more.
WHO ARE YOU? / I’m a mix of many things! I'm a stubborn, introverted, creative gal who always envisioned herself in the criminal justice field. I dreamed of being a part of the FBI or the CIA or the Attorney General. I love to read and I love school and I love weddings. I adore flowers and feel lost without them. I want every bride to have the day of their dreams. Weird combo, right?
WHERE DO YOU BELONG? / In a snow-covered chalet with a good book and a warm blanket. Or in London. I'm obsessed with London.
WHAT IS YOUR WHY? / I want brides to have the experience of a lifetime and I want their mom to enjoy it too! My wedding experience was stressful and overwhelming. After my own wedding, I knew that brides needed someone: someone they could vent to without hurting feelings. Someone they could share ideas with and bounce numbers around with. Someone who understood their vision as a neutral, unbiased, third party. Someone to cry with and laugh with and trust their dreams with. I know it's a weird combination, but I'm passionate about my degrees and I'm passionate about weddings!
HOW DID YOU GET HERE? / I currently work as an office manager for several attorneys as well as design floral arrangements for weddings. I'm never bored!
IF WE WALKED INTO YOUR LIFE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, WHAT WOULD WE SEE? / I'd be wearing court-appropriate attire with heels and lipstick.

WHAT IS YOUR UNIFORM? / Pjs. I love graphic t-shirts and if they make me laugh, I have to have it. I’m usually wearing pajama or yoga pants, a funny T-shirt, and my Ugg slippers (I hate socks).

TELL US A SECRET! / I'm a trekkie. Well, more accurately, a Trekkie offspring. My dad is a HUGE Star Trek fan and my sister and I have embraced his love. We are obsessed with the movies and love shopping for goofy Star Trek stuff.
