don't forget the (wedding) details
/GUEST POST BY JENNA WHITECAR
The more traditional wedding checklist was much simpler than it is these days. Different venues, caterers and vendors all offer different services, and usually a wedding planner will remind you of minor details so it can be easy to feel like you have the majority down.
However, there are some details that do go unnoticed or forgotten that may make your day a bit more special or at least, more fluid. Also, it keeps you from running into an issue the day of that you didn’t know existed.
menu /
When serving family style or a buffet, it is nice to have a menu on each table setting so the guests know what they can expect and perhaps to talk to the caterers if there needs to be any adjustment.
table numbers /
Make sure that guests aren’t lost while they search for their seats! Small details but very important in the moment.
tableware and linens
Be sure to talk to your venue about this. It is sometimes overlooked. It's important if you have a specific theme in mind that your tableware and linens match.
chairs /
Some brides are very particular about the chairs that a venue provides. They are the furniture that sets the scene of the marriage so it is absolutely a detail to not overlook.
programs /
These are such a wonderful addition to the ceremony so guests can see who is who in the wedding party as well as any other details like songs, poems and when to expect the best part: the vows!
